Cadbury needed a compelling internal communication asset to support its Rathmore factory’s three-year business strategy. The challenge was to visualise complex corporate objectives in a way that was accessible, motivational, and tailored to the specific site — all while adhering to brand standards and gaining stakeholder approval across multiple departments.

The Event

This poster was part of a larger internal engagement push across Cadbury’s Irish manufacturing sites. At Rathmore, it was critical that the visuals not only communicated targets and strategic focus areas, but also resonated with local employees. The piece would be displayed prominently on-site to reinforce pride, focus, and a shared vision.

To ensure the poster resonated with staff at the Rathmore site, I incorporated visual elements inspired by the surrounding landscape and community. These included black and white dairy cows — a nod to the local milk supply — as well as the Kerry mountains, the nearby river, and the Rathmore train line. The factory itself was also illustrated, grounding the strategy in a familiar setting. These details brought warmth and authenticity to the design, reinforcing local pride while aligning with Cadbury’s brand tone.

I designed a detailed, on-brand poster that communicated the Rathmore site’s key business needs through a visually layered layout. To ground the strategy in the local context, I incorporated bespoke illustrations — including the factory, nearby mountains, Irish cows, the river, and a passing train — all styled to align with Cadbury’s visual identity. The final piece combined clarity, creativity, and cultural relevance to support internal alignment and pride.
